7686 - End Report 2015

1. Introduction |
Areal 7686 has been under excavation since 2013. During this year's campaign we had the opportunity to proceed further to strata beneath the foundations of the younger Late Bronze Age temple and to document layers related to the destruction of the older temple.
Excavation started on the 29th of July under the supervision of Zuzanna Granda. Lauri Mäntylä moved to Areal 7686 from Melanie Weber's trench on 4.8. to become the joint trench supervisor, and was given primary responsibility for the trench on 20.8. After Zuzanna's departure on 16.9. Lauri finished the remainder of the campaign as the sole supervisor.
