Large diameter Quercus. Very vitrified (hot fire), almost glassy. No visible cambium or bark. Fragments are from a large timber (ring curvature) but no tylose. Not really suitable for 14C due to potential for inbuilt age, not enough rings for wiggle matching. Could be useful for dendroecology and stable isotopes
