The pit fill primarily contained small-, medium- and large-sized stones.
The surrounding soil may be compared with Locus:7685:001 and Locus:7685:002 , both of which could be identified as top soil loci, i.e. relatively hard soil, grayish-brown in color, yielding few (larger) pieces of pottery.
