Locus:7685:053 represents the continuation of Locus:7685:025 . At the bottom of Locus:7685:025 , which was marked by a number of flat-lying small finds (one loom weight Fund:7685:025:005 and a spindle whorl or conulus Fund:7685:025:006 ), a yellowish layer was exposed (cf. pit Locus:7685:051 ). Hence, a new Locus was begun, i.e. Locus:7685:053 , in order to investigate whether a second fill layer could be recognized or the yellowish need be interpreted as the bottom of pit Locus:7685:025 .

A noteworthy find from pit Locus:7685:053 is part of a (stone) casting mould (Fund:7685:053:004 ), the presence of which clearly demonstrates that metallurgical activities must have taken place at the site during the second and/or first millennium BC.
