The layer consists primarily of red brick debris with very loose, dusty dark grey soil between fragments of bricks. Very fine fragments of charcoal were present in the debris. Some of the brick fragments were very large. At the bottom of the locus the brick fragments seem to end for the most part and are replaced by a nearly continuous layer of the dark grey soil, at which point the locus was closed.
