Locus:7885:009 constitutes the east wall of the southwest tower-room. Part of the wall had been exposed by the removal of the top layer of red mud-brick material from 'pit' Locus:7885:006 and Locus:7885:007 .
Similar to (e.g.) wall Locus:7784:025 in excavation unit 7784, a line of stones had been placed in front of the actual wall face (on both sides), embedded in Locus:7885:008 (east) and Locus:7784:027 (west) respectively.
The reddish material removed from pit Locus:7885:006 and Locus:7885:007 can probably identified as the extant remains of its original mud-brick superstructure.
